Necessary documents for admission:

Bachelor Programs:

Student admissions run bi-annually for Fall and Spring semesters which begin in August/September and January/February respectively.

  • Copy of the original high school results
  • Copy of the original high school leaving certificate
  • Students must have completed at least 6 years of secondary school education and have taken international baccalaureate exams such as SAT, IGSCE, WAEC/NECO, etc, gotten from their home country.
  • Turkish or English language exam results (optional)
  • International passport or travel I.D
  • Passport photographs

Graduate (Master or Doctorate) Programs:

students who apply into graduate programs at CSU must know that all applications are reviewed by the graduate school committee and are advised to begin their applications quite early to allow time for appropriate considerations

  • Official academic transcripts of previous education (bachelors or masters) and a graduating grade of not less than 2.25 out of a 4.0 grading system or the equivalent.
  • Undergraduate certificate or diploma in relevant fields of study
  • English language proficiency results (TOEFL or IELTS for foreign students and YDS for Turkish nationals)
  • Copy of international passport or national I.D
  • Passport photographs
  • 2 letters of recommendation from professors or employers
  • Letter of purpose carefully explaining the student's motivation and why they intend to pursue their program of choice.

Language Requirements

The following are the accepted examinations to test the student’s knowledge of the English language as this is the medium of teaching at the university. If students do not have any of these exams they will be made to write an entrance examination to test their English at the university when they arrive.

Tuition and Scholarships at Cyprus Science University

CSU is an outstanding university that offers quality education to students from around the world with very affordable fees. Presently at the university, all foreign students that have been accepted into any programs in both undergraduate and graduate levels are entitled to a 60% tuition scholarship for the entire duration of their programs. This provision was made to solidify the university’s position as an international center of higher learning that welcomes exceptional minds from around the globe.

Individuals who have been conditionally accepted into any program (from bachelor to doctorate) at the university can pay a standard installment fee of $1,500 to receive unconditional acceptance.

The university similarly provides other financial aid to students who are deserving of support during their studies. 

Scholarships at CSU

Merit Scholarships:

The university rewards exceptional academic performance by students who have just been admitted into any bachelor program. Full-ride scholarships are given to students who score more than 1,200+ in their high school SAT’s or its equivalent.

The scholarships last for the entire duration of their program covering all academic fees excluding some administrative and social fees.

Siblings Scholarship:

Foreign students at the university all enjoy 60% off their tuition and even better can get up to 75% in the event that another family member is also a student at the school.

Both siblings will receive the scholarship which covers all their academic costs for their entire program of study at both undergraduate or graduate levels. 

Student Financial Aid:

CSU provides financial assistance to many of its students who have certain needs or personal issues, students who desire special funding can apply directly to the office of the rector to be considered.

This funding scheme is done every year, with a budget allocated to support CSU students if they are faced with any challenges.

Students must explain and support their claims with documents showing why the scholarship should be awarded to them, the rector’s office collects all information and makes the final decisions.

Research/Teaching/Graduate Assistantships:

Positions are available at the university that offers student employment either in instructive, academic or administrative roles.

These jobs come with a full-ride scholarship and monthly stipends to cover the students’ expenses while they study at CSU.

Students in their final year of undergraduate study with outstanding academic performance or graduate and postgraduate students who have good knowledge in their fields are usually eligible for this scholarship.

CSU offers all its foreign student's dormitory accommodation in a private location in the Dikmen area of TRNC. Foreign students can choose from double rooms or single rooms with several luxuries attached depending on their budgets.

The dormitories are very well-equipped with modern facilities and have all the makings of a 5-star luxury hotel.

The rooms come with their own bathrooms, kitchen space, and closet installed. Utilities such as 24-hour power supply, central heating, A/C, Wifi and water supply come all-inclusive with the dormitory price, there is also adequate security and surveillance.

Interested students must signify interest and apply accordingly alongside during their application process, students with special needs are also catered for in terms of the room types and special services that make it easy for them. 

Off Campus Accomodation at Cyprus Science University

Many students opt to live in private accommodations around Girne7Kyrenia, where there are many homes that offer student housing for rent at various standards and prices.

Students can rent studio flats, two-bedroom flats or three-bedroom flats at different parts of the city, or in close proximity to the university’s campus.

Houses in the area cost averagely $200 to $550 depending on the building type or its closeness to the city center, payments are accepted for 6 months or 12-months rent.

Renting an apartment means students will bear the cost of utilities such as electricity, water, internet and cable except they come inclusive of the rent.

Student sharing is very common in student communities where students contribute their resources and rent an apartment, splitting all the bills from the rent to the utilities. This is a great way to save money as the individual amount is very affordable for many students.

Sports at Cyprus Science University

Accommodation, feeding, and transportation are major expenditures every month. Eating out costs about $7 to $12 for a standard meal at any fast food restaurant in the city. Upscale restaurants are a bit pricey but very wholesome.

Present on-campus are several cafeterias and canteens that cater to student and staff needs during lecture hours and many of the university’s dormitory facilities have cafeterias that serve a variety of meals to students at different times for the whole day. 


Transportation at Cyprus Science University

The university provides free shuttle buses that transport students to and from the campus, both within the city and from other cities.

The buses operate a scheduled service at specified times every day. These service hours transport students from different bus stops within Girne, from the university-provided dormitories in Dikmen and from other cities like Lefkosa and D.Arapkoy.

Students can confirm the service times as they are very timely and buses move hourly with stops at specified bus stops.
