Namibia University of Science and Technology is a non-profit public institution located in Windhoek. It was established in 1985. It is also officially accredited by the Ministry of Education, Namibia. NUST offers bachelor degrees, master's degrees in several areas of study.

The University is ranked 2nd in Namibia and has consistently ranked as Africa’s top 50 universities, ranking 28th according to Unirank. The academic programs at NUST are accredited by professional bodies, and the qualifications are internationally recognized for their relevance.

The Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST) is a vibrant institution of higher learning with an enrolment of above 11,000. About 650 of those are international students representing 32 countries and four continents.

NUST offers Full-time, Part-time, Distance Learning, and extracurricular programs. NUST programs are internationally recognized through a rigorous approval process including benchmarking and quality assurance.

NUST offers undergraduate as well as postgraduate degrees in the areas of business and management, engineering, information technology, and medicine. Namibia University of Science and Technology has faculties such as the faculty of Human Sciences, Management Sciences, Natural Resources, and Spatial Sciences, Health and Applied Sciences, Computing and Informatics, Engineering, and the Harold Pupkewitz Graduate School of Business.

Namibia University of Science and Technology offers quality hostel accommodation. There are three hostels at NUST with a capacity of 440 beds. There are two female hostels and one male hostel.

For all international students, their qualifications have to be assessed and evaluated by the Namibia Qualifications Authority (NQA) in the Ministry of Education. This evaluation will determine whether the qualifications are at grade twelve level and conforms to the admission requirements of the NUST.

For those who want to study a Bachelor of Technology program, they need to have a National Diploma, or an equivalent, and one-year working experience in the relevant field. The English language is used for lectures and hence international students must be able to demonstrate English language proficiency before being admitted to study.

Academic programs at the university are housed by eight faculties namely, the Faculty of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Faculty of Economic and Management Sciences, Faculty of Education, Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology, Faculty of Health Sciences, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Faculty of Law, and Faculty of Science.

The University offers Diplomas, Undergraduate and Post-Graduate degrees in Accounting, Public Administration, Library Science, Media Studies, Economics, Education, Social Work, Business Administration, Law, Radiography, Nursing, Chemical, Biomedical, Civil, Computer, Electrical engineering, and Metallurgy to mention a few.

The University has about 12 campuses namely, the Hage Geingob Campus, Eng Jose Eduardo Dos Santos Campus, Hifikepunye Pohamba Campus, Katima Mulilo Campus, Khomasdal Campus, Neudamm Campus, Ogongo Campus, Oshakati Campus, Rundu Campus, Sam Nujoma Campus, Southern Campus, and the Main Campus.

Requirements for first-year students are non-stringent and international students should note that only School Leaving Certificates or confirmation from the relevant Examination Authority or Board stating that certificates will be issued during the first year of study, will be accepted. Once approved, they can start.

The International University of Management is a non-profit private institution located in Windhoek. It was established in 1993 and is officially recognized and accredited by the Ministry of Education. It houses more than 9000 students. The International University of Management remains one of the best universities in Namibia for international students who wish to study in Namibia.

The university is firmly rooted in Management and ICT. Since its inception, the university has gained much recognition as a center of excellence for Management Science and ICT programs. The International University of Management has about 8 faculties namely, the Faculties of Education, Business Administration, Health Sciences, Information, and Communications Technology, Strategic Management, Tourism, Hospitality and Events Management, School of Post Graduate Studies, and CIIP for short courses.

All foreign students especially those not taught in English must sit in an English assessment Exam. International students must have a visa when they register. Students not coming from the SADC region must pay an additional N$1000 as a deposit but students from SADC Region are not required to pay any additional fees.

The university also has facilities for the disabled. The tuition fees range from a minimum of N$19 000 for Bachelors’ programs, N$35 000 for Masters, and N$37 000 for a Ph.D.

IUM offers to transport the students in Windhoek between the two campuses at Dorado Park and City campus, picks them up from home to their designated bus stops, and transports them to identified destinations during holidays.
