Ordinary passport holders from the following countries do not require a visa for tourist visits of up to 14 days.these include Brunei,Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam. citizens from Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, and Macau are permitted visa-free travel in Myanmar for up to 28 days.
Chinese and Indian passport holders can a get visa on arrival for US$50 at international airports. Myanmar also has an online e-visa system designed to make the process of application simpler for visitors in particular, those from countries that do not have a Myanmar embassy.
- Tourist visas are valid for 28 days and can be extended by a further 14 days at a cost of US$3 per day plus a once-off $3 administration fee.
- Do not apply for your visa too early- the period for visa validity (i.e. your Myanmar entry date) may range from one to three months.
- Do not apply for your visa too late- if you are applying for a hard copy visa, embassies and consulates can take anything from one day to more than two weeks to process your application.
- You must have a passport that is valid for at least six months after your departure from Myanmar.
- A single entry tourist visa will typically cost around US$50. Depending on which country you are applying from, the application procedures are simple but may vary

The Required Terms and Conditions for Visa On Arrival. The applicant shall:
- Have a valid passport not expiring for at least 6 months from the date of entry into Myanmar.
- Bring two recent (4cm x 6cm) color photographss taken within the past six months.
- Have the letter of invitation from the sponsoring company in the event of the first trip of a business or study.
- Students also have to show proof of funds to cover their trip.
- Proof of approved accommodation booking
- Contact details, and next of kin details or those of contact person in Myanmar.
- Testimonial issued by the Registry of the University in Myanmar

- Fully mention the name of the Univerity, location,
- Produce letter of invitation by the University concerned if applicant is going to study in myanmar
- Produce air ticket showing the destination
- Make a promise to strictly abide by the existing laws, rules, procedures, orders and directives issued by Myanmar Government.
- If in transit with minors, you must be able to produce the evidence of parent-children relationship if the children are holding separate passport.
- Not be allowed to travel to the restricted areas without seeking prior permission.
- Depart to the country which applicant has traveled from by the arrangement of the airline applicant is using if applicant is denied entry.
- Abide by the decision of the On Arrival Visa Scrutiny and Issuing Team.
