It is a private hospital established in 2014. Intermed Hospital is a private hospital in Ulaanbaatar. Intermed hospital is one of the two hospitals in Mongolia that offer aircraft Medical evacuation (medevac) services to the people with urgent need.
There is also SOS Medica that delivers aircraft medevac service. Intermed hospital does not own any aircraft but works with airline companies and health insurance companies.
The hospital has the capacity to receive approximately 90 inpatients at a time, and has 16 outpatient clinics. Annually, the hospital can receive up to 5,000 inpatients and 100,000 outpatients visits.

Second Hospital
The hospital was called Mongolia Hopsital. the hospital began serving the general population in 1991and was renamed the Second General Hospital. between 1999 and 2000, major equipment of the Second Hospital was replaced through a donation from the Japanese government. Additionally, some new high-tech equipment like Computed Tomography (CT) was donated.
With these donations, the Second Hospital became a leader in patient care in Mongolia. its mission is to improve the quality of life of our patients by providing them with immediate, comprehensive, high quality health care from knowledgeable, well-trained specialists using modern technologies.
