About Mauritius Institute of Training and Development
Mauritius Institute of Training and Development (MITD) is an institution established in 2009. It took over the activities of the ex-Industrial and Vocational Training Board (ex-IVTB) and part of the ex-Technical School Management Trust Fund (ex-TSMTF) as from 16 November 2009. The MITD operates under the aegis of the Ministry of Education and Human Resources. The institution focuses on creating a life-changing educational experience through quality, research and education to individuals and society. Through promotion of excellence in technical, vocational education and training the institution contributes towards the empowerment of a significant number of students in the field of business and management. The institution focuses on developing its students professionally preparing them to meet the challenges of tomorrow's world with confidence.
