Mauritius Institute of Training and Development (MITD) is an institution established in 2009. It took over the activities of the ex-Industrial and Vocational Training Board (ex-IVTB) and part of the ex-Technical School Management Trust Fund (ex-TSMTF) as from 16 November 2009. The MITD operates under the aegis of the Ministry of Education and Human Resources. The institution focuses on creating a life-changing educational experience through quality, research and education to individuals and society. Through promotion of excellence in technical, vocational education and training the institution contributes towards the empowerment of a significant number of students in the field of business and management. The institution focuses on developing its students professionally preparing them to meet the challenges of tomorrow's world with confidence. Through its transformational and educational programs (MITD) enhance the knowledge of students hence creating opportunities for people nationally, regionally and globally.
