Queen Mary University London's first international campus proves their determination to be at the forefront of medicine. Like the UK, Malta has a proud history of professional healthcare to this day. The QMUL Malta campus is proud to be the first medical school in Gozo. Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) offers a five-year medical degree taught in the Mediterranean Islands of the Maltese Republic. The Surgery Degree (MBBS) program has begun. The MBBS program is taught by a member of the Russell Group of UK universities, led by QMUL's leading research firm at Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry. The plan is to provide students with practical skills and competencies in modern medicine. The program is responsible for its content and the delivery method and selection criteria are very similar to the MBBS London program.

Gozo is one of 21 Maltese archipelagos in the Mediterranean. According to the 2021 census, the island has a population of around 31,232, and the islanders are called Gozitans. It is abundant in historical sites such as the Ġgantija temples and is one of the world's oldest independent structures, along with other Megalithic Temples of Malta.
Gozo is known for its beautiful hills and shows on its hands. The island has other notable natural features, including the Inland Sea and the Wied il-Mielaħ Window. There are a few beaches on the island. In addition to small beaches, there are popular beach resorts for locals and tourists alike. The most famous are Marsalforn and Xlendi. Gozo is one of the top dive sites in the Mediterranean and is considered one of the focal points for water sports.
