Tuition and Scholarships at Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation (APU)

Merit Scholarships:

APU awards academic scholarships to deserving students who demonstrate outstanding academic results from their high school studies, bachelor studies or masters studies.

Foreign students applying into undergraduate and postgraduate courses using exceptional results obtained in their previous studies are eligible for a tuition scholarship based on merit.

Similarly, already enrolled students at the university with top results and GPA, are also advised to apply for this scholarship, nonetheless, the merit scholarships cut across other spectrums such as social abilities, sports and athletic skills and individuals with contingent needs or disabilities.

APU Masters Scholarships:

Graduate students receive tuition waivers to complete their master's program at the university across all the courses offered.

This scholarship scheme is reserved for local and international students under the postgraduate division of the school, waivers are completely based on merit depending on the student’s overall results in their bachelor programs.

10% tuition waivers are offered to students who graduate with a grade point average of 3.2 and above, then 20% tuition waivers for students with a grade point average of 3.5 and above, and lastly 30% tuition waivers for students who obtained a GPA of 3.7 and above in their bachelor program.

The scholarship is highly competitive so we advise that our students indicate interest quite early and apply accordingly.

MIS- Malaysian International Scholarship:

The government of Malaysia through the Education Ministry created a scholarship scheme called MIS as a means to foster international relations and welcome some of the brightest and talented minds from across the globe into the country.

This scheme rewards outstanding students in their academics seeking to pursue or already pursuing a master's or Ph.D. program at any registered university in Malaysia.

APU’s students are also strongly rewarded by this scheme thanks to the impressive amount of individuals with exceptional abilities at the university.

Students not more than 45 years old who graduated with a CGPA score of 3.5/4.0 after completing an undergraduate or graduate program are eligible to apply.

The scholarship covers the complete tuition, living costs and travel costs incurred by the student during their studies at APU.

There are 2 categories of housing for students at the new campus and they include;

Studio rooms with bathroom and shared kitchen that come as single beds or double beds and in different classes depending on the student’s taste and budget. All rooms come with a bathroom installed with heating, water supply, and the rooms have an A/C, comfortable beds, shelves, reading tables and a wardrobe.

Kitchens are shared amongst other students with a large size fridge, stovetop, microwave, oven and a dining table.

5 rooms in an apartment with a shared kitchen that come as single beds or double beds in different classes depending on the individual taste and budget.

The cost of the different categories provided on campus ranges from MYR* 750 to MYR 1,100 paid on a monthly basis. Utilities such as wifi, cable tv, electricity, and housekeeping come at an additional fee depending on the usage.

Off Campus Accomodation at Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation (APU)

APU has provided accommodation to all its students (local arrangement) on an off-campus arrangement with external housing agencies and bodies through the university’s student housing services.

However, since 2017, APU has on-campus accommodation present on the newly constructed and commissioned campus site at TPM. 

The university has offered to house to its students at dormitory or apartment facilities located within close proximity to the university campus. These options are in different categories and for different prices at varied standards.

All dormitories or apartments come as single rooms or double rooms with a shared kitchen installed with many facilities, these apartments are of some form of luxury as services like internet wifi, heating, housekeeping and laundry are all fixtures that are readily provided. There is also a grocery store, a gym and camera surveillance at each facility building.

The price of rent at any of the known university off-campus houses come at a range of MYR 250 to MYR 1,900 paid on a monthly basis.

Tip: please note that under this option, there is a safety deposit and utility fee paid before the student is allowed to move in

The university provides meals for students who stay on campus and are subscribed to the campus meal plans for breakfast, lunch and, dinner.

The campus cafeteria is open to students who live within the campus and a variety of meal types are made available on a daily basis. The university campus also has several cafes, canteens, and restaurants open to all staff and students during school hours.

Similarly, off-campus apartments and dormitories have cafeterias located inside where students can find a variety of meals that they can enjoy, there is also a grocery store where they can shop for food items if they prefer to make their own meals.

Menara Tower

This is the tallest telecommunication tower in all of South East Asia and the seventh-tallest in the world built to improve the quality of telecommunications and broadcasting transmissions in the country. The KL Tower is one of the most famous places to visit in Kuala Lumpur, a multi-purpose center that is even more fascinating on the inside, named the highest point in the city.

Petronas Twin Towers

Your stay in Kuala Lumpur would not be complete without paying a visit to the world’s tallest twin towers. The skyscrapers are utterly stunning particularly when they are illuminated at night.
