Places to visit on vacation!

1.      Monrovia

Monrovia, the capital is Liberia’s bustling and gritty center. It has the greatest reputation in the whole of Liberia. Here, you can expect throbbing beer bars and the monumental remains of the old 19th century townhouses; you can tour the fascinating National Museum and trace the history of the county’s coups and counter-coups, civil wars and political trails at the eerily abandoned Ducor Hotel.

2.      Robertsport

Robertsport is a beach getaway a few hours west of Monrovia, well-known for crowds on weekend holidays from the capital. There is a modest surfing scene here, and some beautiful beaches. It’s also a pleasantly relaxed town to just wander around on your idle periods!

3.      Ganta

Ganta is a lively, colorful trading town near the Guinea border. It makes a great stopover on the way up to Yekepa, or if continuing east toward Zwedru. As with so many towns in the region, there is no specific must-see destination but networks of streets, restaurants, and market stalls to wander and curious locals to strike up conversations with.

4.      Zwedru

Like many of these places to visit in Liberia, there is no specific tourist destination here but there is a town to wander, a market to browse, and plenty of restaurants where you can share a meal and a beer. This town is also a jumping-off point for visits to Sapo National Park and the wildlife there.
