Primary school curriculum- The primary school Integrated Curriculum for Lesotho is derived from five Learning Areas namely Creativity and Entrepreneurship, Personal, Spiritual and Social, Linguistic and Literary, Numerical and Mathematical and Scientific and Technological areas. The primary syllabus focuses on subjects such as Sesotho, English, Mathematics, Social Sciences, Science and Technology, Arts and Entrepreneurship, and Life skills.

Prospective students- Admission at the school is must be by written application to The American International School of Lesotho (AISL) along with the submission of required documentation and completion of a screening process. The following documentation must be provided for consideration for admission:

  • Copy of the Birth certificate of the student
  • and a copy of the passport of the student and parent.
  • One recent color photo of the student.
  • Academic records from the previous school.
  • Any special learning evaluations are done by a previous school or outside agencies (if applicable).

This is one of the oldest English medium schools in Lesotho, accredited by the Cambridge International Primary School curriculum. It is A co-educational school catering to children from four to eleven years of age. The school year at Maseru English Medium Preparatory School follows a northern calendar with the first term starting in August and the third term ending in late June or early July.
