The procedure for admission to BMA:

Submission of documents required for admission. Apply directly on RocApply and upload forward the supporting documents for evaluation, documents should be scanned and uploaded or forwarded via email.

Pay the application fee:

€20 - for citizens of Latvia and the EU.

€150 - for residents of CIS countries, Georgia, Ukraine; €250 – for residents of other countries.

If the applicant provides a ready-made positive decision of the AIC, then the registration fee is respectively €100 / €200.

For foreign citizens - verification of educational documents at the Academic Information Center of Latvia (AIC). Verification can take up to four months.

For the programs "Computer Design" and "Written and Interpreting" - passing the required entrance tests.

Tuition fees for BMA details (see above): for Latvian and EU citizens - at least 1 month in advance (options - for a semester with a 5% discount, for the whole year with a 10% discount), for foreign citizens - at least 1 semester.

Registration and signing of the contract

For foreign citizens - issuing an invitation to obtain an entry visa to Latvia, for up to 90 days

For foreign citizens - arrival in Latvia and submission of documents for processing and obtaining a temporary residence permit in Latvia.

Tuition and Scholarships at Baltic International Academy

BIA is a model private institution and has been dubbed the largest degree-awarding private institution for higher education in Latvia. Students learn in Latvia, Russian, English, and other foreign languages.

A tuition fee applies to all students at the university, academic cost varies from the degree level to the program choice. BIA offers over 30 programs in 8 different specialties.

The following payment options are available:

If a student pays for tuition by months (the semester rate is divided into five equal parts, payment is up to the 15th day of each month), then after the contract only the first month or several months can be paid;

When paying for a semester (five months), a 5% discount;

When paying for an academic year (two semesters) - 10% discount.

Payment deadline for the fall semester: 15.09.-15.01.

Payment deadline for the spring semester: 15.02.-15.06.

Latvian and EU students have subsidized fees dues to EU agreements, however, the cost of education per semester ranges from €750 to €1,250 for undergraduate, masters, and doctorate programs at BIA.

The tuition fee breakdown for foreign students (Non-Latvian or EU citizens) for an academic year is given below and is subject to change in the future on the academy's decision. Students from other non-EU countries also pay different fees for tuition depending on their nationality.

Students from CIS countries, Ukraine, and Georgia pay different amounts from other international students. An annual registration fee also applies for all students at the beginning of a new academic session, the fee ranges from €20 to €250 dependent on a few university-set conditions.

Latvian State Scholarship

Following the bilateral agreement between the Latvian government and several other countries on education and science cooperation, the State Education and Development Agency (Valstsizglītībasattīstībasaģentūra-VIAA) provides foreign students, researchers, and teachers with education and research in Latvia. , Universities offering scholarships for participation. Tuition Discounts

BIA Competition.: This is a funded program by the academy for all students applying into first-year full-time programs, this scheme is monitored following a set of guidelines and criteria. Citizens of the Republic of Latvia and non-citizens, as well as EU citizens, are eligible for this full scholarship discount as successful students receive a 100% tuition discount.

Excellent Student Discount. It is given to students according to the results of the previous exam period. If all subjects are passed with 8-10 points, there is no financial and academic debt; the student regularly attends scientific conferences and public life of the BIA.

The discount is awarded to students of core study programs (level 1 and Bachelor's degree). It is not summarized with a semester tuition discount. A 25% tuition discount is offered to the student who receives this award.

Discount for high achievements and participation in BIA life. For members of the Student Parliament. For Course Leaders and Activists - Participants of Student organizations who regularly fill out a written report on their activities communicate continuously with the structural units of the BIA and participate in events.

For athletes who organize sporting events and represent BIA in sporting events. Offered to enrolled BIA students without any academic and financial debt. a 15-20% tuition discount is offered to students who receive this award.

Discount "Attract another student to studies!" 10% - if a foreign student of BIA attracts a student to study. 15% - if the BIA student attracts two or more students. The discount is valid for one (current) working year. 10%, 15%

Family Discounts: For first-degree relatives or spouses who also study at BIA and who do not have financial and academic debt. Discounts are provided for BIA students: -10% for a second family member, -25%, 10%, and 25% for a third family member

Relative of BIA graduate: The discount is awarded to relatives (first degree relative or spouse) of a BIA graduate who successfully graduates from the BIA Bachelor's Degree, Master's, or Doctoral Degree programs.

Discount for repeated studies. In the absence of financial debts for the previous working period. Shawl applied once. 30%

Discount for Junior Academy graduates of previous years (until 2018.g.). Provided for studies in the first semester of the 1st year. 10%

Tuition reduction for one academic year (two semesters). Tuition fee discount per semester: -10% - EU citizens and non-citizens; - 8% - citizens of other states.10%; 8%

Discount for foreign students - BIA graduate, 20% entering Master's Programs

Discount for College of Accounting and Finance (GFK) graduates, 20% entering the last year in BIA

Discount for graduates of the RGA Institute of Civil Aviation Engineers (RCAII) and Riga Aviation University (RAU). A 5% discount on tuition fees apply.

Discount for BIA cooperation partners - Organizations and Local Government employees. Representatives of cooperated companies and organizations are discounted (within the framework of cooperation agreements). A 10% discount on tuition applies here.

Discount based on previous training results. 15% - Certificates of all Central exams will be eligible for AC levels, provided that the average GPA in the previous education certificate is not less than 7.5 (for candidates entering basic education programs, all Central exams will be eligible for AC levels or these levels) corresponds to percentage limits).

Student Hotel "DUCK REPUBLIK"

Address: Lauvas street - 1, Riga, Latvia (a five-story stone building). This year the hotel underwent a renovation.

Transport: The hotel is within walking distance from BMA. You can get from the center of Riga (Central Station) in 10-15 minutes by trolleybus Nr. 15 (10-15 minutes).

Accommodation options: Single / Twin / Studio / Studio Twin.

Furniture: beds, tables, sheets, wardrobe, shoe racks, refrigerators.

Conveniences: shower, toilet in each room. The studios have their kitchenette and air conditioning, and there are four spacious communal kitchens on the 1st and 2nd floors. The kitchen has two sinks, two ovens, two refrigerators, and a microwave. Shower cubicle in every room.

Security: around the clock.

Terms of payment: Reservation of a student hostel is carried out for at least 1 month. This requires an advance payment of 1 month.

Additional services: (from September) the building will have common areas for recreation, a bar and a cafe, a yoga room, a gym, a laundry.

Cost: from €199 depending on the type of room. The price includes heating, hot water, Wi-Fi, weekly cleaning in rooms, and common areas.

The hotel complex "TOMO" offers rooms and apartments for students for a long period of residence with the possibility of self-isolation and declaration of a place of residence.
