Pre-primary Education in Kenya is a two-year program for children from around the age of 3 to 5 years. All learners are expected to start their education at this level, and they will progress into primary school upon completion. as of 2010, Kenya declared that pre-primary education was compulsory. Its education consists of Pre-Primary One (PP1) for children aged 3 to 4 years, and Pre-Primary Two (PP2) for children aged 4 to five years.

Pre-primary curriculum- the pre-primary curriculum has a variety of subjects or programs that are aimed at providing a foundation for growth and preparing students for mainstream or formal education. Subjects include Language Activities, Mathematical Activities, Environmental Activities, Psychomotor and Creative Activities, and Religious Education Activities, to mention but a few.

Why pre-primary education?

Activities

Students take part in a variety of fun activities where their skills are developed. They also engage in a variety of sports activities. these include soccer, swimming, ballet, cooking, music, and bike day, to mention but a few.

Application for Admission

To be admitted into the school, students should provide the following documentation:

  • a copy of your previous School Leaving certificate.
  • a copy of your final transcripts.
  • A short essay of about 250 words about yourself.
  • 2 passport-size photographs.
  • 1 Photocopy of your valid passport showing your name & nationality
  • Completed, signed  stamped Medical Certificate or Physician Report if necessary
