About Reykjanesbær

The city of Reykjanes is a new and vibrant fast-growing city on the Reykjanes Peninsula. There has been a significant increase in the number of citizens in Reykjanesbær in recent years and now stands at 14,100. Reykjanesbær benefits from its proximity to the capital and is also on the Icelandic border at the gateway to the rest of the world. At the same time, other frontiers have disappeared and now úsbrú, the former US naval base, has been transformed into an innovative and progressive training community.
