Iceland is known for its natural beauty and breathtaking scenery but also has many secrets, Iceland is at its peak beauty early in February to catch a glimpse of the northern lights, and in the summer for the eclectic music festivals and Icelandic concerts here are some must-visit places and must-do things in the country;

  • Start in the capital city Reykjavik with a mouth-watering lunch at Cafe Loki; try their delicious lamb soup, herring sandwich and, their insanely tasty rye bread ice cream. Right across the street is the ‘Hallgrímskirkja Church’ which offers an amazing view of the city.
  • Visit the Harpa concert hall, which is famous for its futuristic architecture, and enjoy some of the best acoustics in the world, dubbed as a mesmerizing masterpiece.
  • Try the authentic Icelandic alcoholic beverage called ‘Brennivin’ if you are of legal drinking age, as this beverage is widely consumed in the country.
  • Try visiting the Northern Lights which is one of the best things to see in Iceland
  • Everybıdy’s favorite place remains the Blue Lagon, which is the largest geothermal spa in the world, here you can relax in piping hot water full of skin-improving minerals like the silica mud mask. We recommend visiting at early dawn to experience this magical dim atmosphere.
  • Treat yourself to a ‘Pylsur’ the famous Icelandic hot dog at the most popular joint in town, the Baejarins Beztu Pylsur in Rekjavik.
  • The nightlife in Rekjavik is very vibrant and energetic, bringing a mixture of the young and old demographic under the beautiful night lights of the city. There are many bars and clubs littered across the main city square but we recommend that you pay a visit to the ‘Austur Club’ frequented by many foreigners and local alike, this nightclub offers a fascinating night of music and fun, a brilliant way to end the night.
