Some various institutions and bodies offer scholarships to study in Guinea. Some offer full scholarships and some offer partial scholarships. Here are a few options to consider when applying for a scholarship in Guinee.

Fulbright Scholarships- This scholarship program is open to Ph.D. applicants from any African country. The scholarship is open for all disciplines, but candidates must be enrolled in a local university or research institute in Guinea. Scholarships cover an academic year of study. 

  • Eligibility-All African students are eligible for the scholarship. Prospective students must come from disadvantaged communities but demonstrating academic excellence and outstanding leadership potential.
  • Application requirements: students that are applying must be enrolled for a bachelor’s degree program at any institution. Prospective students must send supporting documents e.g. transcripts or high school certificates with at least 5 passes at the Ordinary level and 2 Advanced level passes. 

Leadership Essay Competition -This is a creative contest scholarship that offers Partial Funding for students who want to study in any African trade. The best essays in line with the requirements will determine the students to be chosen for the program.

  • Eligibility- The scholarship is open to African citizens to study in an African country. Students must be enrolled at any university in Africa, Guinea in this instance.
  • Requirements-Creativity and relevant proof of study towards any degree is a must for students applying for this scholarship.

 

KDS Undergraduate Scholarship Contest- is a contest-based scholarship to be awarded o students who demonstrate outstanding results. Students are required to share their experiences on how they overcame hardships. It offers up to $1500 for tuition assistance for Bachelor's and Master’s students.

  • Eligibility- any graduate and undergraduate student can apply. Students should be commencing studies or registered with an institute as full-time students.
  • Benefits include $1500 as the first prize, $1000 as the second prize, and $500 as the third prize.

International Scholarship for Girls- is a scholarship that offers full tuition for women studying Bachelor’s, Master, or Ph.D.

  • Eligibility- women from any country except Iran can apply. Applicants must be committed to dedicating themselves to the educational plan and they have to sign a commitment letter upon scholarship receipt. Prospective students must be competent in English. First preference will be given to students who have a proven record of voluntary and charity work in their community.
  • Benefits include sponsorship of US$18 000 for undergraduate, US$28 000 for Masters and US$26 000 for a doctorate, and US$32 000 for post-doctoral students. Students will receive a monthly stipend of US$1200, US$1600, and US$1800 for Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral students respectively. Students will also get book and literature expenses worth US$1000 per year.

Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarships-These is awarded to undergraduates who show outstanding financial needs. Applicants in Guinea or looking to study in Guinea are welcome to apply for up to $7,000 per scholarship.

  • Eligibility- Students must have critical financial aid needs that can be proven. People with disabilities and female students from disadvantaged backgrounds will also be given top priority.
  • Requirements. Prospective candidates must have a proven record of leadership or some form of recommendation from their home community.
