Life in a foreign place needs some extra money for students to cover other expenses. Expenses may include transport costs, food costs, clothing, groceries, even costs for entertainment.

Delivery –students can work in the delivery of newspapers, insurance, and fast foods.

Foodservice workers- Students can work in a café or restaurant as a server, bartender, or waiting on tables. Students can even make extra cash by getting tips from customers.

English tutors- the official language of Guinea Bissau is Portuguese and students can teach English at kindergarten or other centres as a part-time job.

Cleaners- students can also take up jobs as cleaners on campus, cafes, bars, or industries. These are often very widely available.

General hands- students can take up odd jobs in offices and other establishments and work as cleaners, take care of the lawns or company surroundings.

Nurse Aides- Nursing Students can take up jobs as nurse aides or home health workers to assist qualified local nurses while at the same time getting experience in their field of study.

Front desk assistants- students can also find work as front desk operators or assistants. Most companies or hotels need people who are fluent I English to assist customers who may not understand the French language and hence it is an advantage to the students as they can apply for this job.

Salespersons- Students can get part-time work as sales people, promoting insurance companies, cosmetics companies, and other production companies. They may be paid on commission for their work, the more they sell the more they earn.
