Shopping and Groceries

Guinea Bissau has a number of supermarkets and store from which to buy from. Products range from groceries to clothing, jewellery, fruit and vegetables and appliances.

Transport –taxis are available for travelling within cities in Guinea Bissau and if you want to travel beyond that, you can get assistance butt at an extra cost, but within the allowed distance limits.

Toca-tocas- this is a minibus and is the most popular choice of travel amongst locals.

Sept places-these are seven-seater Peugeot also used for transport.

Candogas- these are larger vehicles that can carry between 10-20 people.

Water taxis- these are riverboats or ferries. These ferry people across to the islands and back.

Buses- buses are mostly used for long-distance travel and are quite reliable. These buses however do not have fixed schedules but once they get full they leave.

Rental cars- rental cars are available and even more reliable as you can travel at your own pace. Busses and other forms of transport usually fill up faster and get congested at times so having you own car is better.
