Lifestyle and Culture in Germany

German culture spans the entire German-speaking world. Germany culture has been shaped by major intellectual and popular currents in Europe, both religious and secular. Historically, Germany is been called Das Land der Dichter und Denker (the country of poets and thinkers), when you know about Albert Einsten you know the truth of this phrase.

Culturally speaking, Germans are also more  friendly and helpful than most Northern European nations on a customary level, where the norm is to keep to oneself. In Deutschland, people really tend to look out for one another and this attribute is everywhere in this great nation.

If by any means you happen to drop or lose your glove in the dreary winter, be rest assured that when retracing your steps in search of it, the glove may well be skewered on the branch of a tree. The people here are generous and respect personal property. This is a nature that defines all including the children in Germany.

Germans like to take their leisure time quite seriously. For your knowledge, just about everything will be shut on Sundays, so be sure to do your shopping on the other six days of the week. While the origin of this custom is religiously motivated, today this is also about reserving time for company of friends and loved ones.

One of the core principles of German life is organization and hard work. German people pride themselves on being highly organized and time-conscious, both in their professional and personal lives and in maintaining a balance between the two. As such, a respect for rules and laws in Germany goes without saying, it’s a natural phenomena.

Here you will experience diversified multicultural environment and  tap into one of the academically rich countries in the world, full  of events and inventions. Much can be said about the people here but a remarkable characteristic you will certainly accustom with once you are in ‘Berlin’ is the binging culture. Germans do not only produce world-class beers but also hold to fame their drinking lifestyle. You will hardly attend dinner without being offered a glass; in fact, denouncing is generally viewed as rude. This is the beauty of Germany!
