Adventist Theology Faculty/Faculté Adventiste de Théologie (FAT)
From its inception in 1921, Collonges-sous-Salève has been the home of French-speaking Adventist theology. Today (and tomorrow) as yesterday, studying the Bible, contemplating on God and the Church, but also a Christ-centered spirituality and friendship is at the heart of FAT's life.
The mission statement states: “The Adventist School of Theology serves the Seventh-day Adventist Church by preparing theologically and practically competent cadres to share the eternal gospel and form the followers of Christ in anticipation. Its return. "
To nurture and share the hope within us, FAT's motto is a fundamental guide and orientation for the university’s faculty: "Vos estis lux mundi" (You are the light of the world).

The French Foreign Language Institute (Ifle) for more than 90 years has been offering courses in the French Language to non-native speakers. Annually, thousands of students from all over the world came to the institute to learn one of the most spoken languages in the world.
Situated on a magnificent campus 15 minutes from Geneva international airport and high above a Savoyard village, l'Ifle not only offers breathtaking views of the Geneva basin but also offers best-in-class infrastructure.
On the institute campus, you will discover two beautiful residences, bright classrooms, a multimedia center, a language lab, a cafeteria, and even a climbing wall for rock climbing enthusiasts.

The Institute of Humanities is a higher education institution of the Campus Adventiste du Salève. It works in close collaboration with the Protestant association Empreinte formations to offer training in helping relations, a Diploma of higher studies concerning Christian aid and counseling.

Campus Adventiste du Salève is the only French-speaking Adventist higher education institution in Europe since 1921. It belongs to the worldwide Adventist education network, the largest of the Protestant denominations. Each school year, around 400 to 450 students troop into Campus Adventiste du Salève to study and of these number, several international students representing around thirty different nationalities worldwide benefit from a unique learning environment and the commitment of a competent and dedicated team of around 80 professionals (teachers, administrative staff, technical support).
History
From the first years after their establishment in Europe at the end of the 19th century, the pioneers of the Adventist church wanted to create a missionary school. It was in 1921 that two old hotels, a farm, and a magnificent 20-hectare property were bought in Collonges-sous-Salève in Haute-Savoie to carry out this project.
The Salève Adventist Seminary opened on October 6, 1921, with 76 students. At the time, the school offered training courses for evangelists, teachers, peddlers, and clerks. Work on the farm, gardening, woodworking, cooking, and sewing lessons completed the theoretical teaching in the classroom.
Receiving more and more students, new buildings were built to gradually meet the needs. Today, Campus Adventiste du Salève is a beacon of education, progression, and faith developing into a solemn well respected religious institution within France and Europe at large.
All year-round, the campus offers students a diverse and exciting range of activities that enable them to enjoy the university experience whilst taking care of themselves healthily, socially, and spiritually and thus stay connected with God and the people around them. This balance is necessary to complete their education in peace.

Sport Activities
There is a gym on the campus and a sports platform that allows outdoor or indoor sports depending on the weather conditions. At the beginning of each school year, a program of sports activities such as basketball, volleyball (participation in tournaments), table tennis, badminton, football is organized and a sports activity reference is assigned each year.
In Jean Weidner residences, there is a fitness center according to the conditions of use to be agreed with the residence manager. In addition, the immediate surroundings of the campus are suitable for walking, walking, jogging, and other physical exercises.

Top-tier Faculty and StaffThe action perspective is at the core of all the institute’s courses. The learner is an actor in his education and, thanks to multiple interactions, quickly becomes functional in different communication situations. Unique OffersThe institute’s diverse and adaptable offer will suit everyone's needs. The normal program is for those seeking intensive, combined, or super-intensive training, 5 days a week, and variable duration. The Evening Program, held 1 to 4 times a week, will be perfectly suited for active people who want to practice speaking throughout the day, review their grammar, learn general French, or prepare for a formal exam. There is also the A La Carte Program whose content and duration will be determined together will be more suitable for the specific projects of an organized group (company, high school, association, etc.). |
Preparing Foreigners for Official Delf-Dalf and Tcf ExamsThe Institute of French as a Foreign Language prepares students for the DELF-DALF and TCF exams whose value is recognized worldwide. Exam sessions take place in autumn and spring. L'Ifle is also an approved center for taking official exams for access to French citizenship or access to the residence card in France: TCF - naturalization or TCF – residency. |
Learn French Culture and the European EnvironmentBeyond French, the aim of the French as a Foreign Language Institute is to introduce its trainees to French culture and to explore Europe's multilingual and multicultural environment. A wealth of visits, excursions, French cuisine, theater, art courses, as well as international organizations or European institutions are offered. The central location of the institute’s campus makes it a privileged place to explore international Geneva and "European" Strasbourg. The major figures of the Reform Movement - Calvin, Luther, Farel - are also on the show. |
Variable LevelsAll the institute’s training courses are organized according to CEFR levels (A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, and C2). Therefore, everyone will have the opportunity to find training that will meet their needs. We aim to offer every person an ideal environment to learn French in the best possible conditions. For this reason, the institute limits the class size to 15 people. |
The university offers dormitories for both male and female students on campus, a large majority of Campus Adventiste du Salève students live within the school premises for the duration of their programs.
The dormitories are well furnished to suit different tastes and have several features that make studying very easy. The university dormitories all have wireless internet service, common rooms for relaxation, a cafeteria that serves different meals, laundry and housekeeping services, and many more. Rooms have en-suite bathrooms and a common kitchen for each floor.
There are also separate accommodations for married students who arrive on campus with their spouses, these spaces are more apartment-style and have separate kitchen and bathrooms.
Single students can opt to stay in single or double rooms depending on their budget. Campus Adventiste du Salève staff also stay on campus, so there is a welcoming community where everybody engages and freely interact.
Collonges-sous-Salève is a small and safe town with a beautiful and clean environment and a population of just 4,200 residents. Collonges-sous-Salève’s large campus houses all its residences, however, some students opt to live in private houses within the town, to truly experience the town or for privacy reasons.
