El Salvador International Airport Saint Oscar Arnulfo Romero- is an airportpreviously known as Comalapa International Airport, which serves San Salvador. It is located in the city of San Luis Talpa in the Department of La Paz. It is third in Central America in the movement of passengers with 3 411 015 annually.
The airport's modern facilities include duty-free shops, fast food and full-service restaurants, bars, air-conditioned areas, tourist facilities, car rental, spacious waiting rooms, and free Wi-Fi throughout much of the airport. passengers can buy a variety of merchandise from a wide range of duty-free shops including clothing, perfume, spirits, craft shops, and also enjoy a meal at restaurants.
Ilopango International Airport- this is an airport located in the eastern part of the city of San Salvador. It was once the largest international airport until it was replaced by the larger and more modern El Salvador International Airport Saint Oscar Arnulfo Romero, which is located about 50 km south of the city. Ilopango airport is now used for military, air taxi, and charter aviation only. The airport is also home to the National Aviation Museum of San Salvador, housed in the old terminal building. The airport also houses the offices of the El Salvador Civil Aviation Authority.
