The Protestant University in Congo (UPC) is a Protestant university teaching institution. It was created in 1959 on the initiative of the Protestant Church in Congo (Church of Christ in Congo) and benefits from civil personality. The Protestant University in Congo provides teaching in accordance with the programs recognized by the Ministry of Higher and University Education. However, the UPC has added a few courses of an ethical and theological nature. As such, it confers academic degrees (graduated, licensed, doctor).
The objective of the Protestant University in Congo is to provide higher level education in order to train design executives, a national elite capable of responding to the needs of society and the Church. Aware of the fact that the crisis in our country is essentially of a moral order, the Protestant University in Congo places particular emphasis on the dimension of Christian ethics in order to produce competent scientific operators, inspired by the fear of God and ready to serve the Community in faith and truth.
