When you study in the DRC you will stand a chance to experience the legendary Congolese night life, the best of the best for African clubbing and music. The popular music of Congo is considered the best in all of Africa, and everynight you can hear Ndombolo, Rumba, and all the other famous music forms of the country in the heart of the nightlife.

The country has legendary nightlife, as you would expect from the capital of one of Africa's major musical centres.

The bad news is that without knowing the country well much of the nightlife scene is inaccessible. Exactly why we are here to help you navigate the streests of the beautiful country for your great experience.

Non-locals will often find themselves the target of attention from hustlers, prostitutes and other scammers in clubs and bars. You are firmly advised to go out in groups and engage a driver for the night to avoid an risks associated with nightlife activities here.

Turbo King is a darker beer, regular lagers are Primus (which some feel is the best local beer, brewed by the local Heineken brewery) and Skol as the best treats here. European Mutzig comes in smaller containers! A bit more expensive, and slightly difficult to find as

it is brewed in Lubumbashi by Simba Breweries, is Tembo, a tasty amber ale preferred by locals and foreigners alike.

Here are some top sports not to miss in the Democratic Republic of Congo!

Gombe

This is the heart of downtown Kin, where the students are concentrated. Here you can count on paying more than elsewhere for cocktails and beers, but you will get an upmarket crowd, more sophisticated venues and safety is rarely an issue; although as with anywhere in Kin, only travel by car after dark.

Matonge

While it is certainly a fairly sketchy area at night, Matonge is a sight worth seeing as it's famously the home of Kinshasa's (the capital) music scene. Expect raucous and superloud bars and to be the only foreigner in a wide sea of locals.

Bon-Marche

Centred on the area where Ave Kabasele Tshamala and Ave de Kabambare meet, Bon-Marche is famous destination for kinois (Kinshasa residents) who want to dance. It looks like a Congolese version of Las Vegas, brash, glowing with neon, hedonistic and always packed.
