Cost of Education in Curacao

Fees differ between universities in Curacao, with the prevalence of international branch campuses and private institutions bringing the overall average up. In general however, studying in here is cheaper than many countries, with average tuition fees currently standing at approximately USD 4000 per year.Although the prices of programs at Curacao’s international branch campuses tend to be higher, they are still much cheaper than their international counterparts, while offering the same prestige.

Scholarships

Curacao has signed agreements with other countries in order that the Ministry of Education and Science may implement scholarships to provide financial assistance to international students.When determining the allocation of scholarships, preference will be given to Curacaoan Diaspora students pursuing degree programs in Curacaoan studies, pedagogy and art. Here are some of the top scholarships here;

Belt and Road Scholarship

This Scholarship is established with a view to attracting more outstanding students from countries along the Belt and Road to pursue first-year full-time undergraduate studies in Curacao.All awardees receive a scholarship of up to approximately USD 10000 per year to cover their tuition fees. In addition, a bursary USD 3000 per year will be provided to financially needy awardees.Interested students should submit applications for undergraduate admission to the following publicly-funded local degree-awarding universities.

When considering candidates: 

  • Priority is mostly given to applicants of particular merit taking into account academic ability, need, and development impact, leadership potential, and personal qualities.
  • Preference is given to subjects that offer a high probability of future employment in the countries that we select candidates from and are of direct value to development.
