Children in Cote d'Ivoire enter primary school at the age of seven or eight and pass through six grades which are divided into preparatory, elementary, and intermediate levels. The Standard primary school-leaving examination at the end of primary school culminates in a certificate of elementary education known as the certificate d'etude primaires elementaires (CEPE).

This certificate will determine entrance to secondary education and the stream. The main and language of instruction in primary school is French. Students take classes in reading, writing, and mathematics, and history, geography, natural sciences, music, art, and physical education are introduced gradually at later grades.

This is a nonprofit, independent, coeducational day school offering an American-style curriculum, located in Abidjan. Curriculum- The school follows an international curriculum that is modified to meet local needs and. French is taught in all grades. English-Language Support (ELS) is also required of all non-English speakers.

The school offers primary education in the lower school section. The Lower School section focuses on the development of core skills, including critical, creative, and reflective thinking, communication, research, social, physical, and personal skills, to mention but a few. Students are taught a variety of skills including Literacy-reading, writing, spelling, language, speaking, and listening.
