6. Cosendai Adventist University

Eight of the universities are State-owned public institutions and the other are private institutions. Let us take a brief look at some of the Universities you can choose from.

University of Bamenda

The University of Bamenda is located in Bamenda in the northwest of Cameroon. IT is one of Cameroon’s public universities which was established in 2011. It is an accredited university, officially recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education in Cameroon. It is made up of 6 faculties namely, faculties of Arts, Law and Political Science, Economics and Management Science, Education, Science, Health Science. Bamenda

University of Buea

The University of Buea is located in Buea in southwestern Cameroon. It was established in 1992. It is made up of 7 faculties namely, Engineering, Arts, Education, Health Sciences, Science, Social and Management Sciences, Agriculture, and Veterinary Medicine.

It is one of the two English speaking Universities in Cameroon. It is regarded as one of the best universities in Cameroon. It mostly uses the British system of education and is quite ideal and preferred by most international students.

University of Douala

The University of Douala is a public university located in the city of Douala. It was established in 1977. It is also one of the accredited and officially recognized universities in Cameroon. With over 300 programs on offer, the university is making strides in establishing the institution as a leader in Education in Cameroon.

The university has about 40000 students. Programs on offer include economics and commerce, arts, technical training, medicine and pharmaceuticals, humanities, law and politics, industrial engineering, fisheries science, sciences, economic sciences, and management. It has about 6 campuses, the Bassa campus, Ndogbong campus, Akwa campus, Nkongsamba campus, Yabassi campus, and the Logbesou campus. These are conveniently located in different neighborhoods in the city of Douala.

University of Dschang

The University of Dschang (UD) is one of the 8 public universities in Cameroon. The University of Dschang has the following faculties and institutions namely, the Faculty of Economics and Management, Faculty of Humanities, Faculty of Science, Victor in Bandjoun, and the Foumban Institute of Fine Arts.

The University of Dschang has eight campuses including education and research centers in Bambui, Belabo, Ebolowa, Maroua, and Yaoundé - Nkolbisson (Center). The University of Dschang offers a wide range of study opportunities at different levels of your career. These range from undergraduate, graduate as well as continuing career enhancement options.

University of Maroua

It is one of the public universities established in 2008 and is located in Maroua. It is officially recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education. The most popular programs are Communication, Technology, Marketing, Earth Sciences, Management, and Law and Jurisprudence.

University of Ngaoundere

This is another public university located in Ngaoundere Adamawa region in Ngaoundere and was established in 1993. It offers Bachelor, Masters, and Doctorate degrees in several areas of study. The university offers about 15 program categories, Accounting, Arts, Biological, Chemistry, Economics, Environmental Studies, Finance and Banking, Humanities, Law and Jurisprudence, Management, Marketing, Mathematics, Natural Sciences, Physics and technology.

Yaounde University I

The University of Yaoundé 1 is a public university located in the capital city of Yaoundé. It was established in 1993 following a university reform that split the country's oldest university, the University of Yaoundé, into two separate entities: the University of Yaoundé I
