With numerous shopping malls, stalls, shops, and supermarkets Bonaire will certainly take thy breath away!.

Unique boutiques and shops are spaced throughout Bonaire and at island resorts.  However, downtown Kralendijk, with colorful, quaint and picturesque architecture, provides the majority of shops and reflects a real Caribbean vibe. The original downtown buildings along Kaya Grandi, circa late 1800 to early 1900’s, traditionally housed families upstairs and shops below. Some buildings have been renovated here.

Bonaire’s picturesque Kaya Grandi presents an array of wonderful shops and services. Stroll Kaya Grandi, window shop, have a haircut, buy some perfume, or find that perfect t-shirt, postcard, or hat. Be awed by the creations provided by Bonaire’s unique jewelry shops. Enjoy an ice-cream or a delicious meal.

The shops in Kralendijk are generally open from 8.00am to 6.00pm and close for lunch from noon to 2.00pm. Check with individual shops for hours and offerings. Grocery stores, found throughout the island, have an extensive blend of international brands, products and produce on the shelves.

If you are looking for a unique shopping experience, then rest assured that the premier shopping malls are usually located in the heart of the commercial district, generally just a short journey from your accommodation. While you are there you are likely to find yourself enjoying the company of locals, who visit the luxury malls to unwind, spend time together and tour the shops at their leisure.
