Universities in Belize for international students

The University of Belize is an English-speaking multi-locational institute for higher education and the national university of Belize. The institution offers certificates, diplomas, associate degrees, bachelor's degrees, and graduate degrees. The UB Central Campus is in Belmopan City.

The UWI was designed to serve an archipelago of 14 countries which were divided by the Caribbean Sea from Belize in the West to Trinidad and Tobago in the south – a distance of 3,000 km. The Leeward and Windward Islands, by comparison, are fairly close in proximity, however, they are over 1,600 km from Jamaica, which further compounds the challenges of distance.

Muffles Junior College is a Catholic junior university college, located in Orange Walk District, Belize. Established in 1954 by the Society of Jesus, the college has been administered by the Sisters of Mercy since 1967.

Centro Escolar Mexico Junior College is a tertiary level institution in San Roman Village in the Corozal District of Belize. It was funded by the Mexican government in 2007. This junior college functions mainly as a vocational institution.

The Corozal Junior College was established in September of 1986 because of the great need for higher education in northern Belize. In order to provide post-secondary education, the institution was established under the umbrella of the Corozal Community College drawing faculty members from the existing high school and from community resources. CJC opened its doors under the administration of Mr. Rosendo Urbina having a total of 48 students enrolled in its first year. In May of 1988 CJC held its first graduation ceremony with a total of 18 graduates receiving associate degrees in either business studies, secretarial science or general studies. Later that year on the 31st of August the newly completed sixth form building, built under contract and sub/contract by the firms of R. Mahler, A. Chin and R. Hoare, was officially inaugurated and put into service. Since 1988, the institution has experienced significant growth and expansion in many different areas.

Belize Adventist Junior College is a Christian Junior college in the Calcutta Village of the Corozal District in Belize. The Belize Adventist Junior College provides students with an education in a Christian setting.
